Sad news today about something that is Very Important: SyFy is bringing an end to its absurd shark-filled action movie series.

The first Sharknado movie premiered in 2013. New ones followed every year after, includingSharknado 2: The Second One(2014),Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!(2015),Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens(2016), andSharknado 5: Global Swarming(2017). That movie ended with the world coming to an end. So for the last movie, Fin is going back in time to try to stop the first Sharknado event that turned the world upside down.

The totally crazy synopsis reads: All is lost, or is it? Fin unlocks the time-traveling power of the SHARKNADOS in order to save the world and resurrect his family. There have beenSharknado video games over the years, but there is no word as of yet if a new one is coming to tie intoSharknado 6. The straight-to-TV movie is apparently due out this summer.

The Sharknado franchise will end after the sixth instalment,TV LineandEntertainment Weeklyreported today. The franchise seems to be going on with a bang, at least in terms of how absurd the story will be. The untitled film will involve time travel, with main character Fin (Ian Ziering) fighting Nazis and dinosaurs, and also taking a ride on Noahs Ark.
