Dora The Explorer Live Action Movie Is Actually Happening And Heres The First Image

Dora the Exploreris now in production in Australia and hits theaters on August 2, 2019. The image shows Moner as an older Dora, but with her familiar haircut, clothes, and backpack. Check it out below:

Nickelodeons hugely popular animated kids showDora the Exploreris getting a live-action makeover, and the first image has been released. The movie starsTransformers: The Last Knights Isabela Moner as the intrepid Dora, who embarks on an adventure with her pals.

Dora the Exploreris directed by James Bobin, who is best known for movies such asThe MuppetsandAlice Through The Looking Glass, plus the musical TV comedyFlight of the Conchords. It also features hugely popular Mexican star Eugenio Derbez as a mysterious jungle inhabitant, plus Micke Moreno (Escobar: Paradise Lost) as Diego, Adriana Barraza (Babel,Thor), and Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones,Moana).

Paramount has also released a synopsis for the movie. It reads: Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents nothing could prepare Dora for the most dangerous adventure ever–High School. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots (her best friend, a monkey), Diego, and a ragtag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.
